The Witch Queen in Snow White, Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians, Scar in The Ling King: Satan assumes many forms in the films of Walt Disney. But for the ultimate cartoon incarnation, look no further than the very last film Uncle Walt oversaw. George Sanders had already built a career on playing cads so conjuring up Shere Khan couldn’t have been much of a stretch. Of course, Sanders later killed himself having grown bored of life. However, one can’t imagine audiences ever tiring of his terrific, terrifying tiger.
