Linda Hamilton (actor, Sarah Connor): The Terminator’s Sarah Connor is quite bland compared to the action hero from T2. She was more a clean-slated ingénue who had to find her own strength - not too far removed from myself, I guess. I’m sure I’ll like The Terminator again someday but for now, I’ll pass.

Adam Greenberg (cinematographer): The Terminator changed science-fiction cinema in so many ways. In particular, it altered the look of SF. When we made our film, we wanted it stylised, cold, metallic. Nowadays, more and more movies are done in that very style, but in 1984, it was a very different approach.

Lance Henriksen (actor, Detective Vukovic): It’s the old thing of catching lightning in a bottle. There are lots of movies that look like The Terminator but Jim’s film is in a league of its own. What do I think of the other films? Well, let’s just say bigger isn’t always better.
