Lance Henriksen (actor, Detective Vukovich): When the Terminator attacks the police station, that was a whole week’s work. There were thousands of squibs going off as Arnold shot everybody. The effects team used big explosive charges planted on the body which went off like shotgun shells. I got several real burns - you can still see the scars…

Adam Greenberg (cinematographer): Shooting the finale threw up all kinda problems. We couldn’t afford to have a whole Terminator skeleton built, so four crewmen carried the top half of Stan Winston’s model around on two sticks of wood. I filmed with a handheld camera and tried to time my walk to the jerky motion. It was really difficult but it proved pretty effective.
